Principal’s Message

Dear Parents and Students,

Hafa Adai, Tirow and Welcome to Marianas High School, home of the mighty dolphins! It is our hope at MHS to continue to provide safe and intellectually challenging learning environment for students.  We are excited about the many programs we have that engage students in their personal achievement and growth.  Our goal is to help students to be responsible citizens with a future in college or a career of their choice.

Welcome to SY 2017-2018. We look forward to an exciting new school year as we have the opportunity once again to make a difference in the lives of our students. Let's remember the reason we are in education-- to make a better CNMI and global community by equipping and inspiring our students reach their highest potential. Each Mighty Dolphin staff contributes to the success of our students, so teachers, counselors, support staff and administrators, we have a great calling and opportunity. Let us resolve together to keep on keeping on! We have some challenges, but let us focus on the prize of student success as we start this new year.

Being the largest school in the CNMI, MHS offers unique opportunities to students that are not found elsewhere.  For example, we will have a fully functional gymnasium sonn, a variety of career and technical education classes, the most Advanced Placement course offerings, a growing number of sports and athletic opportunities, a well developed performing arts program, as well as many clubs and extracurricular activities to support students’ interests.

We have support services such as our counselors, our library, our administrators, and of course our teachers that can help students that need extra help. We encourage all parents and guardians to stay actively involved and participate in activities such as open house nights for mid-term progress reports, report card days, and Parent Teacher Student Association meetings.

To all our new students and parents, everyday is a great day to be a dolphin.  Make the most of your time at MHS and take advantage of the many avenues for success.

If you have any suggestions to help make MHS even better, please call me at 1-670-237-3206 or send an email to I look forward to hearing from you.  Go dolphins!

With great enthusiasm,

Cherlyn B. Cabrera,

MHS Principal
